Jalisco

Between agave fields, beaches, mountains, large cities and Pueblos Mágicos (Magical Towns) is the state of Jalisco.

Located in the western part of the country, it borders the states of Nayarit, Zacatecas, Michoacán and Colima.

Its capital city, Guadalajara is one of the most important cities in the country. In its historic downtown you will find buildings of high artistic, cultural and historical value, such as the Catedral Metropolitana (Metropolitan Cathedral) and the impressive Teatro Degollado (Degollado Theater). Visit the Instituto Cultural Cabañas (Cabañas Cultural Institute), considered a Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

Tequila and Mariachis come together in this central-western part of Mexico, the geographical point where the state of Jalisco is located, with its bountiful lands that have become a synonym for Mexican identity and the cradle of charrería -- Mexican rodeo -- jaripeos and palenques.
